A Musical Vigil
On May 15th, 2025, Ödland gave a special concert at the Notre-Dame du Rosaire church in Saint-Fons. For the first time, our music resonated in a sacred space — a realm of echoes, colored light, and suspended calm.
That evening, we were three: Alizée on vocals, Léa on violin and theremin, and Lorenzo on piano. A minimal and intimate formation, inviting silence, pure listening, and fragile resonance.
The audience was there — kind, attentive, ready to board our imaginary boat to an unknown destination. For more than an hour, we journeyed together: through forgotten moors, buried memories, lost trains, and fallen dreams…
For 17 years, in Ödland’s memory, we’ve played in all kinds of unusual places: in the back of a bar, beneath train tracks, in a London pub basement, between books in libraries, on boats (that’s how we started), in cellars, at record stores, in apartments, houses, squares, kiosks, open air, in abandoned train stations, art galleries, many theaters, a museum in Italy, a cinema in the Netherlands…
But a church? Never. This concert was a first — and it will stay with us for a long time. A new chapter in Ödland’s story.
We wanted to capture that evening. To hold it. To share it.
🎥 A YouTube playlist now lets you relive the concert, moment by moment.
Each video is a fragment of that vigil: the violin’s reverberation under the arches, the breath of a voice between two stained glass windows, the silence after a final note.
Thank you to everyone who came to listen, dream, and share this moment with us.
And thank you to those who will discover the concert later, across the digital tides.
Enjoy the journey.
Warmly,
— Lorenzo (for Ödland)
