The Door n°1

Dublin’s Georgian streets are made of regular façades, repetitions. And then sometimes, a detail catches the eye, like the colour of a door.

The Door No.1 is a small architectural scene built around that moment of surprise: a door left slightly ajar, and a glow coming from within.

Hand-cut paper, assembled in depth. The frame is an integral part of the piece, like a miniature theatre space. Hung or standing, the work shifts subtly depending on whether it is lit or unlit.

 









 

 
Care
Avoid direct sunlight. Dust only with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or cleaning products.The light is designed for occasional use, avoid leaving it plugged in for prolonged periods.
