From February to May 2019, I led a songwriting workshop with the children of Georges Brassens School in Feyzin, as part of Les Fabriques à Musique, a project supported by L’Épicerie Moderne and Sacem.
The goal was to write and compose a song together that would reflect who we are — and to enjoy the process.
Our song is titled “Défendre la vie” (Defend Life), and we performed it together on May 9 on the stage of L’Épicerie Moderne, with the children and the band Ödland. After that, we played a full concert, including several unreleased tracks.
A live recording of that evening is now available, and the songs can be streamed or downloaded on Bandcamp.
